“Rejoice, Captain, for the Empire will rise again.” —Grand Admiral Thrawn
Five years after the destruction of the Second Death Star, dozens of star systems have been liberated from the grasp of the once mighty Empire by a fledgling New Republic. But the war is not over yet. Grand Admiral Thrawn has taken command of a shattered Imperial Fleet and has enlisted the aid of the unstable and deadly former Jedi, Joruus C’baoth, in order to crush the New Republic. In return for his help, Thrawn promises to deliver the last two remaining Jedi, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa Solo, into C’baoth’s hands. While Luke unravels the mystery of Master C’baoth, Leia turns her attention towards securing the allegiance of the Noghri, a fiercely loyal and secretive race dedicated to the Empire. New battles erupt, new and old heroes join forces, and new enemies emerge from the shadows as the galaxy is plunged into turmoil once more as the New Republic fights for its very survival.
