These 2 starter decks are comprised of cards entirely from the Old Republic Era. These decks are designed for novice players and feature only basic card types and introductory game mechanics. If you are new or are looking to introduce a friend to the game, these starter decks are a good way to do so as they are balanced against each other. Each card featured in these decks includes reminder text in parentheses for every keyword, so you can learn as you play! Follow the gameplay instructions in the Rulebook and use these decks to start your game!
The Old Republic Era starter decks introduce the Star Wars Trading Card Game’s primary unit types (Space, Ground, and Character), and the primary support card types (Equipment, Location, Mission, and Battle cards). Keywords such as Accuracy, Armor, and Evade are also introduced and explained on each card.
You can either print and play using the cards from the PDFs, or play online using the free Lackey program. After you have Lackey installed, simply run the program, go to the “Deck Editor” tab, click on “Browse…” and choose from the selection of starter decks.
